The Chairperson
We have been in existence for almost 11 years now. The association is made up of professional nurses from the western region of Ghana and other nurses who have been trained here in the UK and support our cause and ambitions. Our prime objective in forming the association is to:
To promote unity and friendship through support for individual members for career and professionalĀ developmental activities in the UK and abroad.
To provide crisis support for members during infirmity, bereavement, and other emergencies, and also to maintain a close relationship with other African associations in the UK and work in partnership to promote charitable work. One of our achievements so far is delivering twenty pieces of brand new computers and two projectors to our alma mater (NMTC SEKONDI, GHANA) to support educational and learning purposes.
Our short and medium term plans are to maintain a close collaboration with the school and the hospital (EFFIA NKWANTA) to support them with educational materials or tools they might need to facilitate learning and at the same time offer them a voluntary tutorial professional lessons from members who have acquired knowledge in various disciplines in the nursing profession to keep the standard of nursing in high profile to support the sick and the underprivileged ones in our communities.
Our long term plans are geared towards investments and other activities to raise funds to undertake major charitable international projects. We seek to unlock the potential of every individual. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life, especially in our communities in Ghana. Thanks for reading.
